Jump on the Victory Train!

ALL ABOARD!!  THE VICTORY EXPRESS IS HEADED FOR CLAY CENTER!!

The Axtell Eagles boys basketball team will meet rival Centralia Panthers at 7:30 p.m. this evening in Clay Center.  The victor moving on through the brackets for a chance to advance to the state tournament.  

Axtell Cheerleaders hosted a pep rally today to show their support, and to get the school pumped up for the game tonight.  A class balloon bash was held.  Five students from each grade and five staff had balloons tied around their ankles.  The object was to pop everyone else's balloon and to save yours.  The class which had the most participants with balloons still intact was the winner.  The Junior Class came out on top. 

Asst. Coach Cody Smith gave a small speech and then gave the floor to the senior boys:  Stuart O'Neil, James Shaughnessy, Nathan Hollis, and Reggie Scott.  Stuart O'Neil gave a few words of advice and then invited one and all to join the Victory Train to Clay Center.
