WebDesign's End of Year Wrap Up

How quickly the school year has gone. Seems as if it were just yesterday when the students poured (okay - maybe trudged) into the school to begin the 2007-08 year. Books were handed out, assignments given, and tests to be taken. It didn't take long to settle into the routine.
Sports seasons have come and gone. Organizations have had activities, classes were active with fundraisers, and the WebDesign class has tried to keep the community informed of what was happening or what had happened. Their final article is combined into this one, and reflects each of their own views of the year or what summer has to hold.
Thanks to everyone who sent pictures, have a great summer, and keep checking the www.usd488.org site.

School is about out and students are ready for summer to be here. They are looking forward to being around friends at pools or just hanging out. Some are looking to baseball or softball. The most important thing kids plan on doing is having fun. They do this by doing what they enjoy, like fishing or other outdoor activities.
Students are getting ready to go to work at their summer job. Some plan to save their money for college, but others want money to spend. They also want to get experience in whatever their job consists of.
Students who are seniors are preparing themselves for college by buying books and earning money to pay for it. Younger students are working, but getting ready for fall sports by lifting weights and other things.
Hopefully everyone has a good summer and no one gets hurt.

The clock is ticking and the students are getting restless. There are only about 10 hours left of school and the students, as well as the teachers, just can't wait to start their summer. The school year has been full of events and great accomplishments.
The school year started off with an exciting victory over Pawnee City for our homecoming football game. Throughout the year there were many things that happened to look back on. Some of these include: homecoming dress up week, many victories for both the boys and girls sports, winter formal, prom and others such as Mrs. Strathman having a baby. Also, we might just look back on all the new students that we have had come in and out of here throughout the year. We enjoyed their presence, even if it didn’t turn out to be for a very long time.
With the memories of the year, and the excitement for the summer, everyone is happy. Kids will start softball or baseball; go to various camps, and of course, camping and swimming. This is also the time to travel, as well as do some serious socializing.

Summer is almost here and students are eager to get out of school! The seniors will be preparing for college, but for the rest of us, we will return next year. Most of the high school students probably have a job where they will be working, but for the younger students, they will be playing baseball and softball and possibly going to the pool.
My summer usually consists of going to weights in the mornings. After I am done with that, I will go home and then get ready to go to work. I work on a dairy farm. That means that there is always something for me to do during the summer.
For fun I like to go swimming and fishing, two things that I bet everyone likes to do in their free time. On the weeknights and weekends, I enjoy going and watching baseball or softball and socializing with friends. For most of the students, summer is just a time to relax and have fun.

With the end of school coming to a close, many students are looking forward to the summer months. Most students already have their summers planned. High School students tend to be busy from the last day of school up to the first day of the following school year with baseball or softball, working at a job, helping around the community, or socializing with friends.
James Shaunghessy said “I will be getting a job and making some money, taking college classes at school and enjoying my free summer.”
But that doesn’t mean younger students don’t have busy summers either. They will be playing baseball or softball, as well as, lots of other actives such as the swim bus and playing with friends.
Some of the freshmen said they will be swimming, shopping, going on vacation, four-wheeling, and playing MAYB basketball.
The coaches have already started to get ready for next years upcoming seasons with open gym for anybody that would like to come in and shoot around. Weights will start a couple of weeks after school comes to a close.
Students need to remember that summer is not here and that the last day of school is just as important as the first.
Coach Kevin Turowski plans on driving the MAYB team around on weekends in a fifteen passenger bus; otherwise “I will take it easy.”
