Axtell School

The Next Step

The month of May bids farewell to yet another class at Axtell High School as they begin their “next step” in life.  This May did not change this tradition as the Class of 2008 walked across the stage on May 17 at 2 PM to receive their high school diplomas.  To make the day complete, the current eighth graders also walked across the stage completing their days as junior high students completing their transition into high school.

 

On the day a number of announcements were made.  Eighth graders Jordan Heinen and Morgan Bernasek both received the KSHSAA award for outstanding achievement as an eighth grader.  The valedictorian of the Class of 2008 was senior Ashley Blonquist.  The salutatorian of the Class of 2008 was senior Nathan Hollis.

 

There were also a number of scholarships announced for the seniors.  They were:
