It Pays to Read

How many times has your English teacher told you “It pays to read”? Mrs. Broxterman has proof that reading does pay off. She is the recent Mentor Hope contest winner of $1000 and $1000 worth of the book “Mentor: The Kid and the CEO by Tom Pace” ..
How does this relate to reading a book? Last year the library received a free book titled Mentor: The Kid and the CEO by Tom Pace. It is an inspiring story about an unlikely friendship between two men, Tony who has lost his way in life and Malcolm who is a successful business man who mentors to Tony. Malcolm helps Tony to become successful in all aspects of his life and through this story the author inspires you to become a better person.
The most important message in this book is that you have to set goals to get what you want out of life. So the author encourages you to go to his website and submit your own “dream list”. These lists are kept in a computer database and a list is randomly selected every so often. Just about everyone who read the book went to the website to submit their “dream list”. On January 14th, the lucky winner was Lisa Broxterman. She will be interviewed and later on, the interview and a photo of Mrs. Broxterman will be posted on www.mentorhope.com.
So remember Mrs. Broxterman, and the next time a teacher says “It pays to read” reading a book can have many rewards. In this case, reading a book rewarded her $1000.
