Candy Gram Fundraiser a Success

When you are faced with budget cuts some times you have to find creative ways to raise money. This year the Axtell High School Library sold candy grams for Christmas and Valentine's Day to raise money for books. At Christmas, we sold the candy grams for $1 and the recipients received a candy cane with a special message attached. For Valentines Day, students and parents could choose between a $1.00 candy gram consisting of two suckers and a special message or a $2.50 Candy Gram which included a cup filled with candy and a special message. Students could send them to students and parents could send them to their children attending Axtell High School, Summerfield Elementary, and St. Michael’s School.
All money raised will go towards the purchase of new books for the library. I would like to thank all of the students who assisted me with the Candy Grams. I could not have gotten them done without your help. I would also like to thank everyone who purchased a Candy Gram. All together we have raised approximately $350 for the library.
