The First Thanksgiving
A Play by the First and Second Grade

The First Thanksgiving was the play presented on November 20, 2007, in the Bern School’s First and Second Grade classroom. This play told the story of the First Thanksgiving. Each student was dressed in either a Pilgrim or an Indian costume.
Throughout the month of November, students memorized lines, learned positions on stage, made scenery, made costumes, brought props, and practiced. After the play, our guests joined us for the Thanksgiving feast prepared by Becky and Betty Rottinghaus.
